The Apple Mac Pro (Late 2013) – Model 6,1, also known as the "trash can", "rice cooker", "R2-D2", or "Darth Vader's helmet" Mac Pro, features a cylindrical aluminum design. It is powered by Intel Xeon E5 processors (quad-core to 12-core), dual AMD FirePro GPUs, and ECC DDR3 RAM (up to 64GB). It has PCIe-based flash storage (up to 1TB), six Thunderbolt 2 ports, USB 3.0, and dual Gigabit Ethernet. Despite its innovative design and thermal core, it was criticized for limited upgradeability and lack of internal expansion and issues including overheating and thermal throttling.
