Apple Mac Pro and T2/Linux
The Intel Xeon processor based update from Apple Inc. of the former
high-end PowerPG G5 line. The machines feature up to two quad core 64-bit
Intel Xeon CPUs, thus 8 cores in one machine, at 3 GHz and 16 GB of fully
buffered, ECC RAM.
Notes and quirks
As the machines are either equipped with recent NVidia or ATi
graphic cards, no open source 3D acceleration is possible, yet.
