12:36 < michael-i> quick question: does "[F] CROSS DIETLIBC FPIC-QUIRK" mean that a package will only cross compile using dietlibc?
12:39 < rxr> nope
12:39 < rxr> that dietlibc is possible
12:40 < michael-i> ok, for some reason my dependencies are not being compiled for asterisk and am trying to track things down. thanks :)
12:49 < Skaperen> g/m
12:50 < michael-i> Using the "embedded minimal" target, I also had to specify "zlib" in pkgsel to get dropbear to compile. Maybe this is the same issue with the .cache files not being picked up. (thinking out loud)
12:50 < michael-i> morning

18:04 < Baldzius> moin
18:15 < rxr> hi Baldzius
18:16 < Baldzius> hey rxr
18:16 < rxr> Baldzius: the VM changed again, one more CPU, a little less RAM - but should perform way better
18:16 < rxr> Baldzius: do you still use your container regulary ?
18:16 < Baldzius> yes
18:16 < Baldzius> i'ne noticed it started working better today
18:17 < Baldzius> in the last days it was kinda slow
18:22 < rxr> yeah - heavy loads. ...
18:22 < rxr> my container built openoffice-org in just 3:15h today ...
18:23 < rxr> though that's also caused by optimiezd (parallel building) openoffice-org.conf :-)
18:24 < Baldzius> no problem
18:25 < Baldzius> libsamplerate has a checksum error
18:25 < Baldzius> and it's not on t2 mirror
18:27 < rxr> hm - likely due the changed checksum, too bad
18:27 < rxr> I should rediff, the file I got should be in my auto-builder container
18:27 < rxr> will check later
18:28 < CIA-23> aldas * r32104 /trunk/package/kde/koffice/ (koffice.cache koffice.desc): * updated koffice (1.9.98.0 -> 1.9.98.6)

19:55 < CIA-23> rene * r32107 /trunk/target/archivista/pkg_qemu.conf:
19:55 < CIA-23> * added archivista/pkg_qemu.conf, likewise (no AIO, and only build i386
19:55 < CIA-23> system emulation)

21:41 < CIA-23> aldas * r32108 /trunk/package/emulators/wine/wine.desc: * updated wine (1.0.1 -> 1.1.14), latest stable doesn't compile and needs patching so updating to latest unstable
22:34 < CIA-23> aldas * r32109 /trunk/package/ (develop/pwlib/ network/openh323/): * removed openh323 and pwlib, deprecated by ptlib
22:40 < CIA-23> rene * r32110 /trunk/package/base/file/file.desc: * updated file (4.26 -> 5.00)
22:50 < Baldzius> rxr: what you think about old packages which doesn't compile, development is dead and last updates were like 2-3y ago?
22:55 < CIA-23> aldas * r32111 /trunk/package/network/xmule/: * xmule is officialy dead, droped
23:05 < CIA-23> aldas * r32112 /trunk/package/network/amule/amule.desc: * updated amule (2.2.2 -> 2.2.3)
23:13 < CIA-23> aldas * r32113 /trunk/package/audio/audacity/audacity.desc: * updated audacity (1.3.6 -> 1.3.7)
23:31 < Skaperen> Baldzius: do any other packages depend on those zombie packages?
23:32 < Baldzius> which?
23:32 < Baldzius> oh in general
23:32 < Skaperen> the ones you referred to a while back
23:32 < Skaperen> 15:51:50 < Baldzius> rxr: what you think about old packages which doesn't compile, development is dead and last updates were like 2-3y ago?
23:32 < Baldzius> mostly none
23:32 < Baldzius> as they do not build for long time :)
23:33 < Skaperen> maybe we need a zombie flag to disable them
23:33 < Baldzius> we have an attic
23:33 < Skaperen> attic sounds good enough
23:33 < Baldzius> just i am thinking is it worth having garbage around
23:33 < Skaperen> garbage can could do, too
23:33 < Baldzius> myself i prefer clean things
23:34 < Baldzius> and better to wipe and drop old and unneeded things
23:34 < Baldzius> that's my nature
23:34 < Baldzius> i know sometimes i regret about it
23:34 < Baldzius> when it can be used in something else :)
23:35 < Skaperen> certainly if they don't build now ... and if that failure is not because some other package is missing or doesn't build
23:35 < Baldzius> other thing is I always do a ref build and those stupid packages are always lingering in broken packages ist
23:36 < Baldzius> it's not serious
23:36 < Baldzius> time waste
23:36 < Baldzius> especially when i lose that list :/
23:36 < Skaperen> I'd rather not waste time with some package unless I have a need for it
23:37 < Baldzius> i just need an update on having old and uncompiled packages policy
23:37 < Baldzius> that's all
23:37 < Baldzius> if we keep we keep
23:37 < Baldzius> i am fine
23:38 < Skaperen> sounds like a plan ... is needed
23:38 < Baldzius> attic is not really a good idea as nobody is going to take care of it
23:38 < Baldzius> it's only a recycle bin
23:38 < Baldzius> whos's going to be a janitor?
23:39 < Baldzius> so it depends
23:39 < Baldzius> what we actually want and need
23:39 < Skaperen> how about a graveyard to archive them in ... so there is at least some place for someone to find the old stuff in case there is ever a need to resurect
23:39 < Baldzius> graveyard sounds good
23:39 < Baldzius> +1
23:40 < Skaperen> dead and buried ... if you wanna dig it up bring your own shovel
23:40 < Baldzius> yeah :)
23:40 < Baldzius> and diapers
23:40 < Skaperen> heh
23:41 * Skaperen would like to see perl in there some day
23:41 < Baldzius> yeah, perl is crazy
23:41 < Baldzius> qq town
23:43 * Skaperen might want to build a niche "perl free" distro :)
23:44 < Baldzius> i think perl is the only one package in desktop target
23:45 < Baldzius> not sure though
23:46 < Skaperen> such a distro (custom target, I guess) would omit perl and everything that depends on perl (which could be quite a lot)
23:47 < Baldzius> can't say, never thought about it
23:48 < Baldzius> so have you already build anything?
