03:36 < cb88> perl cross compile is broken its something to do with the makefiles being changed
03:37 < cb88> there is now a Makefile.micro that should probably be getting the patch that is being applied to Makefile.SH
03:38 < cb88> At least I have gotten this far in the build ...farther I have before
03:51 < cb88> I'm not sure how to fix this one I would appreciate if someone could have a look at it... it probably breaks crossbuilding for everyone anyway

11:09 < ikonia> rxr: have you had a chance to look at my email yet ?
11:27 < rxr> that was KVM?
14:21 < ikonia> rxr: that's the one
14:21 < ikonia> (sorry to disturb with offtopic for T2)
14:22 < ikonia> rxr: you can nudge me a pm if I'm disturbing the #t2 channel as I'm aware it's not #t2 related
14:26 < rxr> no, some talk here is good too
14:26 < rxr> not too much to disturb, ...
14:26 < rxr> that was just for your private testing, right?
14:27 < rxr> because if it's a professional project I could shuffle some work time, ...
14:27 < rxr> for latest kvm 1.x the patchset was not yet functional, mach kernel panics earlier, the last known to work was qemu-kvm 0.14.x IIRC
14:29 < rxr> basically the whole OSX KVM thing lacks some funding to polish everything and finally get it pushed all upstream
14:29 < rxr> well, and then of course the ongoing problem was as soon as we polished everything for the last stable version, qemu-kvm git has so many regressinos left and right that we needed to debug days what's going on, ...
14:29 < rxr> like 1.0 kernel panicing and not finding root devices early, ..
14:57 < ikonia> sorry was just in a meeting
14:57 < ikonia> rxr: what I was looking to do was document it - I want to set it up for my own personal use, messing around with some apple stuff that I often break so need to re-install
14:58 < ikonia> rxr: but then I saw alex's work, and though this maybe useful for others, I'll document and create some distro packages that does it all
14:58 < ikonia> then I found alex's work had gone, and alex pointed me at you
14:59 < ikonia> so sadly not a professional application, just more stopping me from having to keep re-installing my mac mini, and hopefully other people in the future
15:01 < ikonia> I'd be happy (depending on costs) to throw a bit of personal funding at it to push a contribution in, if you give me an idea on that
15:14 < rxr> if you hare not an hw expert
15:15 < rxr> assembly stuff et al. I suggest not to try get 1.x running, rather use the 0.14.x patches as posted
15:15 < ikonia> not a hardware expert at all, god no
15:15 < rxr> you got the link? it appears I was not "registered" at first, ...
15:16 < ikonia> link to what ?
15:16 < rxr> in this private query window thing?
15:16 < ikonia> just sent you a private message
15:17 < rxr> ack
16:06 < ikonia> rxr: big thanks for your time
16:08 < rxr> welcome!
