10:00 <@rxr> moin
10:11 <@rxr> http://www.t2-project.org/packages/lua.html
11:11 <@rxr> so, the rare PCI expansion module + case extension arrived for this nice fellow: http://www.t2-project.org/hardware/workstation/HP/t5710/
11:11 <@rxr> so just the thin client as it has to arrive form canada :-)
11:21 < CIA-46> rene * r37096 /trunk/package/network/cherokee/cherokee.desc: * updated cherokee (1.0.5 -> 1.0.6)

11:53 < CIA-46> rene * r37099 /trunk/package/base/pam/pam.conf: * hotfix pam not to regenerate all auto*junk fiels before building, ...
11:53 < CIA-46> rene * r37100 /trunk/package/base/pam/pam.desc: * changed pam build priority to always cross-build while bootstrapping
11:55 < rogermason> koan: 'nice comment, what are you using T2 for?' Eventually, everything. I don't do embedded stuff but I have a heterogeneous collection of machines. One group is used in conjunction with condor (http://www.cs.wisc.edu/condor/) for number crunching using scientific/root. Others are used as general purpose office machines (a G5 and an iMac) and others will be used for developing a geological mapping application for teaching (maybe),
11:55 < rogermason> probably with CGAL and/or VTK. I'm planning to work on replacing an ageing computer that controls a monochromator (Windows 3.1, VB 3) with linux + scientific/comedi.
12:00 < rogermason> rxr: Thanks for fixing up my patches.
12:00 <@rxr> welcom

12:35 < Baldzius> moin
13:22 <@rxr> re
13:23 < Baldzius> hey rxr
13:24 < Baldzius> listen, can I download built iso image from my VM?
13:24 < Baldzius> it's 450MB
13:24 < Baldzius> asking as I know you have some traffic issues
13:24 <@rxr> sure
13:24 <@rxr> will take some time though
13:25 <@rxr> if I see traffic issues I'll apply management measurements in the future :-)
13:25 < Baldzius> ok, well better to ask anyway
13:25 < Baldzius> time is not an issue for me
13:25 < Baldzius> it will much faster for me to download than to actually built on my laptop
13:25 <@rxr> sure
13:26 < Baldzius> super, thanks
13:26 <@rxr> just use the VM in whatever way you need it
13:26 < Baldzius> spent some long hours yesterday
13:26 < Baldzius> trying to compile t2 on Ubuntu
13:26 <@rxr> just not breaking into other nearby systems :-)
13:26 <@rxr> aside from that just use it :-)
13:26 < Baldzius> mkfontdir still crashes with SIGBUS
13:26 <@rxr> if it interferes with other stuff I'll bandwidth / CPU limit etc. as needed
13:27 < Baldzius> it looks like Ubuntu is new curse name in the market
13:27 < Baldzius> even Debian is compiling nicely
13:27 <@rxr> curse name ?
13:27 <@rxr> btw. hotfixed pam earlier, will now patch unionfs, ...
13:28 < Baldzius> super
13:30 < Baldzius> thought out loud -> what about having xtrace option in config enabled by default?
13:38 < rogermason> hello again all. If I run './scripts/Create-CopyPatch crap', having created a 'crap' directory in package/, where does the copy.patch file appear?
13:41 < Baldzius> I run ./scripts/Commit , in your case you can press q
13:43 < Baldzius> also it will show you spaces left
13:44 < Baldzius> ignore spaces left in header
13:47 < rogermason> './scripts/Commit crap' just runs and finishes, no time to press q, and still nothing in crap/.
14:01 < Baldzius> ./scripts/Commit package/*/your_package
14:01 < Baldzius> or file you touched/created
14:12 < rogermason> I made package/themes/crap & touched crap.desc. ran './scripts/Commit package/themes/crap, but crap.desc is still empty.
14:15 < Baldzius> oh, you need to put everything yourself, it generates headers only
14:15 < Baldzius> at least I am not aware of any script which generates .desc file
14:15 < Baldzius> doing it manually
14:16 < Baldzius> picking most relative and adjusting
14:18 <@rxr> we had this freshmeat helper
14:19 <@rxr> but since they rewrote, relunched freshmeat it does not work anymore
14:30 < rogermason> OK, thanks. I'll make templates for .desc & .conf.

14:56 < Baldzius> will try to get back on t2 over this weekend
14:56 < Baldzius> nothing to do anyway, GF went to LT for a week :)
14:56 <@rxr> :-)
14:57 <@rxr> visit family ?
14:57 < Baldzius> kinda
14:58 < CIA-46> rene * r37101 /trunk/package/filesystem/unionfs/ (linux-2.6.34.1.diff pkg_linux_pre.conf): * adapt and patch unionfs for linux 2.6.34.1
14:59 < Baldzius> yay :)
14:59 < Baldzius> stupid kernel
14:59 <@rxr> hackers
14:59 <@rxr> yes
14:59 < Baldzius> gets to my BL
15:00 < Baldzius> would you mind to merge it straight away?
15:00 <@rxr> just merge
15:00 < Baldzius> me? you?
15:01 <@rxr> you :-)
15:01 < Baldzius> heh :)
15:01 < Baldzius> remember good old days, merging 6.0
15:01 <@rxr> I already did the hack work :-)
15:02 <@rxr> and have some other stuff on my desk
15:02 < Baldzius> sure, thanks
15:02 <@rxr> (I hope it works, I only compile tested it, ...)
15:05 < CIA-46> aldas * r37102 /branches/8.0/package/filesystem/unionfs/ (linux-2.6.34.1.diff pkg_linux_pre.conf):
15:05 < CIA-46> * merged r37101 from trunk to branches/8.0:
15:05 < CIA-46> adapt and patch unionfs for linux 2.6.34.1
15:07 < CIA-46> aldas * r37103 /branches/8.0/package/xorg/ (3 files in 3 dirs):
15:07 < CIA-46> * disable by default not compiling xorg related packages in branches/8.0:
15:07 < CIA-46> xf86-video-radeonhd, xf86-video-vga and xf86-video-via
15:07 < Baldzius> ^^ less hassle for others
15:07 < Baldzius> including myself :/
15:44 < rogermason> I keep seeing this: gawk: /cache hit/ { hit=$4-; }
15:44 < rogermason> gawk: ^ syntax error
15:44 < rogermason> Nothing seems to break though.
15:44 <@rxr> hm, not seen that yet
15:46 < Baldzius> that's mine ccache update
15:47 < Baldzius> will go away after you reach ccache
15:51 < rogermason> So, will disappear if I rebuild something?
15:51 <@rxr> but that is a gawk script syntax error ?
15:52 < Baldzius> ccache they change fields
15:53 < Baldzius> so instead of 3 now it's 4
15:54 < Baldzius> rogermason: you are running new build on trunk? is for it will go away when you get 0-ccache compiled
15:55 < Baldzius> I see no point running ccache in bootstrap anyway
15:55 < rogermason> ./scripts/Build-Target -cfg syslinux_minimal -job 5-boost
15:57 < Baldzius> try 5-ccache and then boost
16:37 < Baldzius> rogermason: it helped?

19:38 < rogermason> Hello. I just submitted a patch for cgal. and then realised it won't work as written as the download site requires one to accept the license terms. Is there aa way for T2 to deal with that?
19:59 < rogermason> Argh! I just noticed that the checksum is wrong.
