11:59 < rxr> hi
12:01 < rxr> hm, new dl.t2-project.org server shuffling out every day, what we previously had per month ...
12:03 < rxr> thanks god I already have traffic shaping in-order
12:05 < Baldzius> :)

12:08 < Baldzius> 30% percent of comments are very childish but the rest are positive
12:08 < Baldzius> only one guy said that uclibc fails on amd64 on linking
12:08 < Baldzius> mostly -fpic missing

12:20 < rxr> I think I built uclibc x86_64 in the past, ....
12:21 < rxr> I run a test build on that, ...
12:21 < rxr> now.

13:40 < CIA-29> rene * r36842 /trunk/package/base/ (eglibc32/eglibc32.desc glibc32/glibc32.desc): * remvoed LIBC tags from {,e}glibc so that they do not show up in the libc selection
13:42 < rxr> I think that news site comment uclibc and x86_64 build failure is probably just that with uclibc the multilib option has to be disabled, as we do only build one flvor of uclibc, and by default gcc build tries to build the 32bit flavor, too
13:43 < rxr> II just checked and with the multilib optoin disabled embedded/x86_64/uclibc/gcc compiles
13:57 < Baldzius> ic
14:01 < digitaloktay> http://omploader.org/vNHpreA yeah
14:02 < rxr> :-)
14:03 < Baldzius> was there big price difference between Athlon II and Phenom II?
14:08 < digitaloktay> yes Baldzius 50-60 euro
14:09 < rxr> Baldzius: you got a phenom II x4 on your VM
14:09 < Baldzius> I know :)
14:09 < Baldzius> it rocks
14:09 < digitaloktay> this is athlon II x3 440 (3x 3Ghz)
14:09 < rxr> it would rock even more if I would have established a better distributed storage foundation
14:09 < rxr> that's the next task here
14:10 < Baldzius> I always liked AMD cpus, never had any problems
14:11 -!- flyinglama [~flyinglam@adsl-39-28-249.clt.bellsouth.net] has joined #t2
14:13 < rxr> yep, back in the mid-age I also favoured them a lot
14:13 < rxr> even still got an slot athlon somewhere, and a collection of K6 CPUs
14:13 < rxr> in my early ROCK Linux days I even had an IDT Winchip CPU to build on
14:14 < rxr> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WinChip
14:14 < rxr> nowadays VIA, ...
14:15 < rxr> most affordable back in those days
14:15 < rxr> Having a Transmeta CPU in my collection would be nice
14:15 < rxr> and that while I even had a touch on many prototypes back when they had a CeBIT booth
14:15 < rxr> I even got a couple of paper business cards on my stack back from that days
14:16 < rxr> just no CPU :-(
14:16 < digitaloktay> graphiccard is ok ? and Ram
14:17 < rxr> sounds good
14:17 < rxr> since I had some defect cells I only buy brand memory, too
14:17 < rxr> it's nothing more annoying then some random flip-flop cells, ...
14:19 < rxr> though I only get ATi graphics for the more open drivers of those
14:32 < rxr> but my aging MacBook has a NVidia GPU, likewise
14:32 < rxr> though it starts to be that old, that the open driver start to support it a little better :-)
14:33 < Baldzius> :)
14:44 < rxr> http://www.para.media.kyoto-u.ac.jp/jp/papers/megaproto-sc05.pdf
14:45 < rxr> wow
14:47 < koan> subject?
14:47 < rxr> transmeta based super computer :-)
14:48 < rxr> koan: how is your t2 test / initial impression?
