13:50 < dantje> I'm trying to do build an embedded arm distribution with t2 8.0 on ubuntu lucid 64bit. One thing I noticed was that mpfr-2.4.2 could not be downloaded, I did that manually. But now I'm stuck witht "... 2-8.0/package/base/linux24/linux24.conf: line 156: arm-t2-linux-gnueabi-depmod: command not found". Where should I look?
14:09 < rxr> that module-init-tools are in your package selection
14:09 < rxr> which target do you try to uild?
14:12 < rxr> build
14:25 < dantje> arm-el-generic-gnu-at91sam9261ek
14:26 < dantje> In the meantime I moved to svn trunk. the mpfr bug still is there. And the depmod problem also. I'll look into the package selection.
14:27 < rxr> rght now trunk and 8.0 are nearly identically
14:27 < rxr> I mean which kind of t2 target
14:27 < rxr> guess the example embedded ? or so
14:27 < rxr> maybe the pkgsel was not updated recently
14:34 < dantje> minimal-embedded
14:55 < rxr> with uclibc?
14:57 < dantje> Yes. "O 01-------- 102.050 base module-init-tools 3.12 / base/kernel CROSS DIETLIBC 0"
15:01 < dantje> I changed the O to an X. Now the build seem to go on...
15:03 < rxr> that is a generated file
15:03 < rxr> the
15:03 < rxr> next time you run COnfig the change wil be cone
15:03 < rxr> gone
15:03 < rxr> when I choose embedded arm uclibc I get module-init-tools
15:04 < rxr> maybe you choose dietlibc or flipped the busybox applet optoin?
15:04 < rxr> option even
15:04 < rxr> damn laggy line :-X

15:46 < dantje> rxr: thanks
15:51 < rxr> I do not get to your reported bug, though :-)
15:51 < rxr> :-( even
15:52 < rxr> btw. which arm device do you target?
16:10 < dantje> I'll try to do a clean build and log what I'm doing.
16:32 < rxr> beagleboard?
17:07 < CIA-29> rene * r36808 /trunk/package/base/ncurses/ncurses.conf:
17:07 < CIA-29> * optimized ncurses build time by skipping the example tests, at least

19:58 < rogermason> I've just finished building trunk. When I try to create an iso I get an error: ./scripts/Create-ISO RogerMason default
19:58 < rogermason>
19:58 < rogermason> [01:24:39 PM] Removing old files with same prefix ...

19:58 < rogermason>
20:06 < rxr> rogermason: what did you build?
20:06 < rxr> what kind of target?
20:07 < rxr> if it was not a CD output format (e.g. initrd or nothing like the embedded target) you can not create an ISO from it
20:07 < rxr> or you build your target with a config name other than "default"
20:08 < rxr> cu later
20:20 < rogermason> ./scripts/Config -cfg default, in which 'Install CD / Disks' is selected.

21:50 < rogermason> I gave up trying to build an iso image and downloaded and burned the recent 8.0 release. When I boot using the CD I see the message: Mounting /dev/sda1 failed: Invalid argument \ ls: 2nd_stage*.tar*: file not found. I checked the md5sum of the iso image before burning, so the download is unlikely to be corrupt. I appreciate any help.

23:05 < rogermason> It booted on an older machine with /dev/hda vs /dev/sda.
23:06 < rxr> you can specify the bootup menu in any case
23:06 < rxr> I also noticed the auto detection needs some further polishing
23:06 < rogermason> Having installed using stone there is an error on attempting to set a password for a user: /usr/share/cracklib/pw_dict.pwd.gz: No such file or directory

23:09 < rxr> ah, yes, I forgot about that
23:09 < rxr> I'll patch the default pam stuff not to check the dict
23:09 < rxr> this cracklib is too cracked to be properly cross compiled
23:09 < rxr> and this artificial dict password sanity check is not that important
