21:34 < sepp> hi rxr, very long time not seen you
21:34 < rxr> yes, definetly, what have you been doing?
21:34 < sepp> i think i was away for over 2 years
21:35 < sepp> just normal real world life
21:35 < rxr> sounds good
21:35 < rxr> I hope you're still using T2?
21:35 < sepp> not atm but i got sick of the other junk and i want to return
21:36 < rxr> welcome!
21:36 < sepp> is multilib crap working these days?
21:37 < rxr> depends what you mean, pure lib64 systems are fine
21:37 < rxr> if you mean building half of the packages in 32bit too, e.g. for wine, than we haven't automated that more
21:37 < sepp> i mean amd****64 with lib32 support
21:38 < sepp> whatever they name it now
21:38 < rxr> works in theory, but no automation to build selcted packages 32bit
21:38 < rxr> you that that for ...? wine?
21:39 < sepp> yes, i need it from time to time
21:39 < rxr> for?
21:39 < rxr> I ask because I didn't need that, the only thing that comes to mind that needs it is wine
21:40 < sepp> i mean i need wine from time to time
21:40 < rxr> when I use wine once in a decade (:-) I usually just unpack a couple of 32bit built packages, like libjpeg, libx11, ...
21:40 < rxr> yeah, ok, ic, we could of course further automate it ;-)
21:40 < sepp> ok
21:43 < sepp> an then i have another question, i have this via nano cpu (u2250), any idea what if there is special gcc support or what to choose?
21:45 < sepp> tried to google it but that was no help at all :/
21:48 < sepp> i like that crappy netbook a lot, but it could need some serious optimization
21:48 < sepp> :)
21:52 < rxr> nope, no idea
21:53 < rxr> though I might get one, too
21:53 < rxr> guess generic x86_64 with -Os should do well
21:53 < rxr> what netbook do you got?
21:54 < sepp> smamsung nc20, not available any more, i think
21:55 < sepp> was the 1st one to support amd64 i could find
21:58 < sepp> amazon sold it for 309 euros for some time ...
21:58 < rxr> ah that one
21:58 < sepp> and i like the padlock thingie
21:59 < rxr> yeah
21:59 < rxr> how warn does it get? what os(s) do you currently use on it?
22:01 < sepp> i was surprised how cool it is on the top, running dumbuntu on it atm, but then openssl has no padlock support out of the box
22:01 < sepp> but dmcrypt... works ok
22:01 < sepp> and it runs 6h on my normal workflow
22:02 < rxr> sound great
22:02 < sepp> for 309 that is nice, has an glossy screen but that is ok for me
22:04 < rxr> ah yep, I'm not so a glossy fan
22:04 < sepp> on heavy use it gets ~80C inside then you do not want to put your leg on the right side (where the fan is) but it is still under 35C ontop
22:06 < sepp> i never managed to run it into the ohh-shit-i-do-not-want-to-touch-it-anymore mode
22:07 < sepp> happened to me with all the laptops i used before
22:08 < sepp> but if you want to use firefox... get an other box
22:10 < sepp> it behaves like the shitty motif based netscape builds it used 15 years ago
22:11 < CIA-32> rene * r36402 /trunk/package/develop/viewvc/viewvc.desc: * updated viewvc (1.0.9 -> 1.1.5)
22:11 < CIA-32> rene * r36403 /trunk/package/multimedia/dvdstyler/dvdstyler.desc: * updated dvdstyler (1.7.2 -> 1.7.3)
22:12 < rxr> hm, due to? the X driver?
22:12 < sepp> yes
22:13 < sepp> i tested haiku alpha 2 on it and it was mind boggling
22:15 < sepp> vesa only ...
22:19 < rxr> no openchrome or so?
22:19 < rxr> haiku is indeed neat
22:20 < sepp> openchrome works but, well, it misses most of the features the hw does
22:22 < sepp> the core contributors never fixed the 64 bit problem, they told everyone "use x86" for a year
22:28 < rxr> oh
22:28 < rxr> how sad
22:28 < rxr> ok, gotta go, get some sleep
22:28 < rxr> cu tomorrow
22:28 < rxr> I hope!
22:28 < sepp> gute nacht :)
