10:43 < Baldzius> moin
10:43 < rxr> moin moin Baldzius
10:43 < Baldzius> hi rxr
10:43 < Baldzius> good news, kdelibs compile again
10:44 < Baldzius> so kde team definitely fixed something in 4.3.2
10:46 < rxr> :-)
10:49 < Baldzius> in trunk seamonkey and thunderbird doesn't compile anymore
10:49 < Baldzius> I have rc01 and beta4 updates here
10:49 < Baldzius> I'd say I should update
10:49 < Baldzius> 2.0rc1 and 3.0beta4
10:50 < rxr> why dont't they compile anymore? gtk+? glibc?
10:50 < rxr> but, well, just commit I'd say
10:50 < Baldzius> something with sqlite
10:50 < rxr> I have to fish some cross build glitches (subversion, e2fsprogs or so) and I should have most of my weekly all minimal ISOs cross builds going
10:51 < rxr> s/fish/fix/
10:51 < Baldzius> cool
10:51 < Baldzius> the biggest thing we need is udev 046
10:51 < Baldzius> and there might some other small stuff
10:54 < rxr> I fix the global fluff first
10:54 < rxr> udev thereafter
10:54 < rxr> after all the current one worksl, and new one brings little more than trouble, ...
10:54 < rxr> so first the new ISOs then the for fun cream pie stuff
10:57 < Baldzius> sure
10:57 < rxr> especially udev (beside the linux kernel and xorg) are the oss projects majorly getting on my nerves these days :-(((
10:57 < CIA-38> aldas * r34514 /trunk/package/x11/freetype/freetype.desc: * updated freetype (2.3.10 -> 2.3.11)
10:58 < CIA-38> aldas * r34515 /trunk/package/filesystem/coda/coda.conf: * extended pkgconfig path search for coda (I hope this is the last try)
10:59 < Baldzius> could someone please try compiling coda
10:59 < Baldzius> the fixes I made were always working until next ref build
10:59 < Baldzius> I hope it's final now
11:00 < rxr> maybe that should not be "lib" but "the suffix of $libdir" to work in 64bit multilib builds ?
11:00 < Baldzius> hm
11:00 < Baldzius> I always did 32 bits
11:01 < rxr> or does coda install hardcoded into lib and thus it's not picked up on 64bit builds?
11:01 < Baldzius> oh yeah , I see it will fail for 64
11:01 < Baldzius> damn
11:08 < rxr> you're welcome! :-)
11:15 < CIA-38> aldas * r34516 /trunk/package/filesystem/coda/coda.conf: * following r34515 update made coda pkconfig path 64bits aware
11:16 < CIA-38> aldas * r34517 /trunk/package/mail/thunderbird/ (freetype.patch ppc64.patch thunderbird.conf thunderbird.desc): * updated thunderbird (2.0.0.23 -> 3.0b4)

11:44 < rxr> I need an AMD many-core: load average: 15.86, 14.39, 10.02
11:50 < CIA-38> rene * r34519 /trunk/package/xorg/xgamma/xgamma.desc: * updated xgamma (1.0.2 -> 1.0.3)

12:03 < rxr> ah damnit, that was a fight
12:04 < rxr> so let's sort out what of the hackery I really need, now:
12:04 < rxr> t2-trunk-clean/package/sparc/silo# svn st
12:04 < rxr> ? page.h.patch.backup

15:08 < rxr> cool
15:08 < rxr> after some 2h network sniffing, debuggging etc. my mail server now handles Palm Pre SMTP TLS authentication
15:08 < rxr> what a fun
15:08 < rxr> at least the thing is SIM-lock free and runs Linux, so ...
15:41 < rxr> http://rene.rebe.name/2009-10-14/palm-pre-no-plain-smtp-authentication-only-doing-login/
15:55 < koan> rxr: ncat (from nmap 5) has ssl support, it's nice to debug ssl encrypted protocols
15:57 < rxr> intersting :-)
15:57 < rxr> will try the next time :-)
15:57 < koan> how did you do it?
15:57 < rxr> log inside exim :-)
15:58 < koan> :-)
15:58 < rxr> actually I triwed disabling encryption and see in wireshark
15:59 < rxr> however, it turned out the pre has a bug in the configuration settings that does apparently not allow to disable the encryption again ..
15:59 < rxr> or was it authenticatoin?
15:59 < rxr> anyway one of the two settings was not possible to switch off again
15:59 < rxr> I think it was authentication
15:59 < rxr> wanted to see if emails go thru to myself or if there are really big basic issues
15:59 < rxr> but I could not disbale authentication again :-
16:00 < rxr> (
16:00 -!- Baldzius [n=aldas@87.198.133.94] has quit ["Leaving"]
16:03 < rxr> good that my itunes was still v8 so it synced some 4GB of music on the Pre without asking further questions :-)
16:04 < koan> :)
16:05 < rxr> maybe I should write a real review later
16:06 < rxr> the pre is supprisingly good
16:06 < rxr> though I wish the display and resolution would be higher (to show more web content)
16:06 < mqueiros> rxr: which model are you talking about ?
16:06 < rxr> but for the Linux hackery Palm and the former Apple developers glued together it's really supprisingly snappy ...
16:07 < rxr> the Pre that is on sale at O2 since yesterday in Germany
16:07 < rxr> I think the SKU has some 02 (so the second international batch or so if that is what you mean)
16:07 < rxr> or the Pre not Pixie if you mean something else :-)
16:08 < mqueiros> ok! :)
