13:50 < michael-i> I'm having trouble compiling gettext for blackfin-bf532 using the generic+bootstrap target. (http://pastebin.ca/1279592)
13:51 < michael-i> I've made a copy of the generic target so I can begin customizing it for my own needs...in case you're wondering about the naming scheme.
13:51 < rxr> hm, woudl need to check
13:51 < rxr> no iconv, though
13:51 < michael-i> yup
13:51 < michael-i> should I add it explicitly to the package list?
13:52 < michael-i> (I'm finally back on blackfin development...we were finishing up another project the last 2 weeks)
13:52 < rxr> I always forget what the iconv state was regarding uclibc
13:53 < rxr> I would need to double check - we have some iconv add-on package, but I'm not sure ATM if that was required for uclibc
13:53 < michael-i> Is uclibc automatically activated for blackfin builds?
13:53 < rxr> yes
13:53 < rxr> IIRC it's the only libc with bfin support ATM
13:54 < michael-i> ok...I'm trying to force it to be active all the time.
13:54 < michael-i> i think that's right
14:32 < michael-i> i had question about building distcc nodes. Is there a target already present in T2 that is already designed for this or comes close?
14:37 < rxr> you need no special target
14:37 < rxr> you need to buld example the same target with just the 0 toolchain to get the exactly identical cross complier on the nodes
14:48 < michael-i> ok, this might be a project for us once we have some time. I'd love to have a 'compute node' target which would build a live usb image. I'd like to have distcc processes find themselves automatically among all hosts running this image.
14:48 < michael-i> Ok...done dreaming for now, back to blackfin troubleshooting.
14:51 < rxr> :-)
15:45 < koan> rxr: do you kow Conary? looks like an interesting package manager, especially the rollback feature and fine-grained (on the level of files) update mechanism
16:17 < michael-i> just trying to get some small target compiling successfully with x86 and then blackfin so I can begin updating blackfin's sources. Rescue CD fails on kernel with (http://pastebin.ca/1279687)
16:17 < michael-i> using x86...sorry
16:22 < rxr> I think the acx wireless module fails
16:23 < rxr> just disable it for now
16:23 < rxr> have to check if it was merged into the kernel or if we still need it
16:24 < michael-i> alrighty
16:26 < michael-i> should I do that in the src.xxxx directory?
16:33 < rxr> no, target/rescue/pkgsel
16:33 < rxr> just comment the acx100 (or so) line out
16:37 < michael-i> found it, thanks rxr
16:57 < michael-i> disabling acx100 and at76c503a lets the kernel build correctly now
16:58 < michael-i> christmas market time... bye everyone

17:04 < CIA-10> * use O2 insterad of Os for the archivista target, as the used gcc-3

17:59 < CIA-10> rene * r31475 /trunk/package/ia64/gnu-efi/gnu-efi.conf: * fixed gnu-efi to build on x86_64
18:05 < rxr> hahaha
18:05 < rxr> gnu-efi "woohoo we now have x86-64 support"
18:05 < rxr> turns out that's:
18:05 < rxr> ifeq ($(shell uname -m),x86_64)
18:05 < rxr> ARCH32 = -m32
18:05 < rxr> endif
18:05 < rxr> super extra support
18:26 < CIA-10> rene * r31476 /trunk/package/ia64/gnu-efi/ (gnu-efi.conf gnu-efi.desc): * updated gnu-efi (3.0c -> 3.0g)
18:38 < CIA-10> rene * r31477 /trunk/package/ia64/gnu-efi/gnu-efi.conf: * improved gnu-efi to build the newly available x86_64 flavor
18:38 < rxr> ah - in that hidden version the special support was hiding
18:38 < CIA-10> rene * r31478 /trunk/package/ia64/elilo/ (elilo.conf elilo.desc): * updated elilo (3.6 -> 3.8), finally builds for x86-64
21:09 < koan> rxr: if I execute Esetroot I get: "Eterm was built without pixmap support, so Esetroot is fairly useless. Sorry."
21:11 < koan> is this because libxpm isn't found by Eterm at build time?
21:19 < koan> ah I see, eterm16 doesn't find imlib2 at build time
