09:38 < bovnet> anyone here
09:40 < rxr> yes
10:31 < mtr> moin
10:32 < rxr> hi mtr
10:33 < mtr> Fedora has some valuable inkscape patches: http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewvc/devel/inkscape/
10:33 < mtr> especially the poppler patch fixes inkscape@trunk
10:34 < mtr> I picked the gtk*, poppler and desktop patch, looks good
10:35 < mtr> moin moin rxr
10:39 < rxr> sounds great
10:45 < mtr> from what has been posted on the inkscape ML it seems to me that 0.47 will not be released this year
10:47 < CIA-8> mtr * r30727 /trunk/package/graphic/inkscape/ (6 files):
10:47 < CIA-8> * fixed inkscape compilation with newer poppler,
10:47 < CIA-8> imported patches from Fedora project:
10:47 < CIA-8> http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewvc/devel/inkscape/
11:06 < bovnet> during my build i had missing source files which upon correction the build completed
11:07 < bovnet> however at the end it gave me a list
11:07 < bovnet> Binary file for zfs-fuse-0.4.0_beta1.tar.bz2 not present. Skipped in package database.
11:07 < bovnet> why did the build not break at these files
11:11 < rxr> you can select to break on errors
11:11 < rxr> by default t2 aborts on errrors while creating the toolchain and bootstrapping the basic system (abort on error until stage 4/5)
11:11 < rxr> you can change that in the Config, e.g. to abort on any error - just as you like
11:13 < bovnet> now i tried to manually build one of these package and the source was collected and it built fine
11:14 -!- Netsplit kornbluth.freenode.net <-> irc.freenode.net quits: koan, axionix, mpp
11:14 < bovnet> is it just the case of interent timeouts that it didnt build before
11:15 -!- Netsplit over, joins: mpp, koan, axionix
11:15 < bovnet> re running the build does not try to redo these missing binaries how to i do that
11:24 < bovnet> ok i got that sorted increasing break on errors gets these pickup to rebuild
11:25 < bovnet> i initially checked out the trunk and built generic ok, was i just lucky ?
11:26 < rxr> yes, on trunk you are lucky :-)
11:26 < bovnet> i have moved to 7.0-rc was that the right think to do
11:26 < rxr> (but of course we also use it on next gen products and thus trunk is in a reasonable shape for a "trunk")
11:27 < rxr> just remove the .err logs in your build for t2 to try to re-build them
11:27 < rxr> rm build/.../var/amd/logs/*.err
11:27 < bovnet> if i want a working build so that i can then learn how to modidfy target am i best with 7.0-rc
11:28 < bovnet> im on the low end of a linux learning curve!
11:28 < rxr> if some minimal trunk target also built fine for you you can also use trunk - of course it has way newer packages :-)
11:29 < rxr> but if you want as least possible package build failures as possible, yes, use a stable series
11:30 < bovnet> it did about a week ago on unbuntu 8.04 server. i then installed the build on the machine
11:30 < bovnet> then getting svn was newer and failed
11:32 < rxr> ok - maybe best stay on the 7.0 branch ;-)
11:33 < bovnet> thanks
11:33 < bovnet> is there a best time to get advice here with timezones etc
11:59 < koan> most of the developers are from germany, right?
12:01 < rxr> no
12:01 < rxr> world wide, though many core people are in DE, indeed
12:20 -!- mpp [n=mpp@fulda025.server4you.de] has quit ["Verlassend"]
12:33 < bovnet> ok so only an hor diff from uk
12:33 < bovnet> hour*
12:35 < rxr> http://t2-project.org/startpage/
12:36 < bovnet> Thanks i will work throught the outdated/broken URL tonight best go and get some work done
12:39 < rxr> welcome!
15:10 < mtr> http://www.openpandora.de/
15:10 < mtr> ^-- linux game console ;-)
15:21 < rxr> yes, seen that quite some times
15:21 < rxr> actually we had the gp2x for some weeks a year ago
15:21 < rxr> but i did not like the overal quality (plastic, flickering display) and sent it back on the following day .. :-(
15:22 < rxr> you can run Linux on the PSP, I like that hardware quality more ... though the PSP has no MMU ...
15:27 < mtr> compared to the PSP the pricing is not really exciting, 249e seems rather too expensive
15:29 < mtr> but the device itself looks quite interesting, 802.11g + TV-Out + OpenGL 2.0 ES
16:04 < rxr> yeah - I bet opengl es thru a binary only driver for the PowerVR ...
16:04 < rxr> that is limited fun :-( tried to get specs from imagination for some time, now - even under chance so far under NDA
16:05 < rxr> it's quite sick how the big vendors cover this up

19:37 < Ragnarin> hihi
19:50 < felanha> any idea what 'already fixed in hg' is supposed to mean?
19:54 < felanha> http://www.nabble.com/xine-devel-header-problem-1.1.15-td19010730.html
19:57 < felanha> well, it's not the only reason why kdebase-runtime doesn't build ;-)
