05:59 < emte> hey, anyone awake?
06:00 < Stelz> moin emte ;-)
06:00 < emte> ah, awake people are always nice
06:00 < Stelz> but i'll go to uni right now :)
06:01 < emte> have fun in class
06:01 < Stelz> thanks :-)
06:01 < Stelz> so - cu
06:01 * Stelz is away: Uni..
08:23 < rxr> moin
09:02 < CIA-9> rene * r20390 /trunk/package/gnome2/yelp/yelp.desc: * fixed yelp to build after firefox
09:06 < Baldzius> moin rxr
09:20 < CIA-9> rene * r20391 /trunk/package/gnome2/epiphany/ (epiphany.conf epiphany.desc): * fixed epiphany to build after firefox, likewise
09:27 < emte> was there a recent change to the binutils skip-comments.patch ?
09:28 < emte> this is my first time playing with T2 but i am building an included target just to grasp it's behavior
09:31 < emte> nm i see the issue, the patch was ment for another snapshot of binutils.
09:35 < rxr> hm - let me take a look
09:36 < rxr> wich exact patch do you reffer to ?
09:36 < emte> the patch is for binutils-2.15.90.0.3 but the target is pulling 2.17.50.0.5
09:37 < emte> binutils-702-skip-comments.patch
09:38 < emte> i was just reading, trying to figure how patches are handled
09:39 < rxr> ah uclibc or so I guess
09:40 < rxr> I would need to review this as well
09:40 < rxr> you can either look if it needs a rediff or if it is included in binutiles now
09:40 < emte> i just selected the psion defaut target
09:40 < rxr> in t2-trunk I guess?
09:40 < emte> yes
09:41 < rxr> not every target is necessarily tested with each component update
09:41 < emte> as to be expected
09:41 < rxr> on the stable tree versioned 6.0 it is more likely everything just works :-)
09:41 < rxr> well you can try either just rm the patch for now or take a look into it
09:41 < emte> i was going to look and then decide
09:41 < CIA-9> rene * r20392 /trunk/package/develop/icu4c/icu4c.desc: * updated icu4c (3.4.1 -> 3.6)
09:41 < rxr> good :-)
09:44 < emte> as soon as i figure out where it unpacked the src to compile it ...
09:46 < rxr> it unpacks in the top level src.* dirs
09:46 < rxr> the uclibc patches are in package/base/uclibc/patches...
09:46 < emte> yeah the patches were easy to find
09:47 < CIA-9> rene * r20393 /trunk/package/network/avahi/avahi.desc: * fixed avahi to build after dbus
10:01 < emte> the changes seem to be integrated
10:02 < emte> the line 950 fail is at line 1017 in the newer binutils
10:03 < emte> the other is at line 1117
10:03 < emte> both changes were applied so the patch can be dropped
10:03 < rxr> ok - good to know
10:03 < rxr> do you want to test it before I commit that change?
10:03 < emte> doing so now
10:04 < mtr> moin
10:06 < rxr> moin mtr
10:07 < mtr> emte: uclibc@trunk is currently not working, you should use the 2.1 branch for this
10:07 < mtr> moin rxr
10:08 < emte> how non-working?
10:08 < emte> most things or a few select things like binutils etc
10:09 < emte> 4 min 21 seconds :) its good now rxr
10:09 < mtr> most things and uclibc itself, afair
10:09 < emte> used to uclibc issues
10:10 < emte> this is more a test run to get a feel anyway
10:10 < emte> and a bit of curiosity about how it plays with distcc and 5 threads
10:10 < mtr> ok, but you should expect more failures on the uclibc-way ... ;-)
10:11 < CIA-9> rene * r20394 /trunk/package/python/pycurl/pycurl.desc: * updated pycurl (7.15.2 -> 7.15.5.1)
10:11 < CIA-9> rene * r20396 /trunk/package/gnome2/bluez-gnome/bluez-gnome.desc: * updated bluez-gnome (0.5 -> 0.6)
10:11 < CIA-9> rene * r20395 /trunk/package/network/whois/whois.desc: * updated whois (4.7.18 -> 4.7.19)
10:11 < emte> no problem
10:12 < emte> so far i am super impressed
10:13 < mtr> i've some uclibc commits pending, if you want to go further with the psion target, i'll commit these in time
10:13 < CIA-9> rene * r20397 /trunk/package/network/bluez-hcidump/bluez-hcidump.desc: * updated bluez-hcidump (1.32 -> 1.33)
10:15 < emte> it is up to you, i chose psion as a target just because it is roughly simular to what i am expecting i'll have to do for the ipaq i intend to try and build for
10:15 < emte> i am just trying to get a feeling about how things work
10:16 < emte> and where things live
10:18 < emte> anyway i must take a nap before class tomorrow, night
10:20 < rxr> ok - cu then
10:20 < rxr> would be nice to see some ipaq bits
10:20 < rxr> susan jsut one desk near me also has an Ipaq - as soon as her windows software is finsihed she also plans to do the Ipaq related bits in T2
10:21 * mtr wants an ipaq too
10:21 * mtr hates his dell axim with crappy m$ mobile 2005 !
10:22 * rxr would like to have linux on the Sony M600i ...
10:22 < rxr> especialyl as the original Symbian UIQ3 stuff is very instable
10:22 < rxr> though I have no idea why, as the Epoc base was rock solid, especially on the Psion devices ...
10:23 < rxr> but well - it's a Sony ...
10:26 -!- sepp_ [n=sepp@p213.54.151.235.tisdip.tiscali.de] has quit [Read error: 60 (Operation timed out)]
10:26 < mtr> hmm, wanted to buy a M600i next month, how instable is it?
10:29 < mtr> does wifi really work with wpa2 wlans and hotspots?
10:31 < rxr> after the last software update it is mostlyuseful
10:31 < rxr> formerly the homezone icon disappeared after just 3 days of use and it crashes all the time and never powered off cleanly
10:32 < rxr> after the update the homezone icon was never lost so far, it powers down cleanly and it only freezed 2 times so far
10:32 < rxr> the m600i has no wlan, only bluetooth
10:33 < rxr> the imap client works with our bincimap+ssl setup but does not appear to be able to delete mail, though maybe after the update it can - did not set it yet
10:34 < CIA-9> rene * r20398 /trunk/package/security/strongswan/strongswan.desc: * updated strongswan (2.7.3 -> 2.8.0)
10:36 < rxr> I always wanted some real review on my blog but missed the time so far
10:48 < mtr> oh, no wlan, so i mixed it up with the P990i
10:50 < mtr> everywhere the same, not-yet-ready and unfinished products pushed in the market, all the field-testing is done by the customers :(
10:55 < rxr> yep
10:55 < rxr> btw. I find it ok that it has no wlan
11:05 < CIA-9> rene * r20399 /trunk/package/filesystem/cdrkit/cdrkit.conf: * improved cdrkit to create cdrecord compatibility symlinks
