13:41 < sepp> over night kernel got berserk and replaced the partition table of my 2nd disc with randomness
14:27 < Baldzius> hi sepp, what version?
14:39 < sepp> hi Baldzius
14:39 < sepp> 2.6.17.1
14:40 < Baldzius> :/
14:40 < sepp> i restored it, but it also trashed some files
14:40 < Baldzius> and what fs?
14:42 < sepp> reiser and xfs
14:43 < sepp> only on the reiser3 partition things are screwed
14:44 < Baldzius> interesting, i'd say xfs should be the one
14:44 < Baldzius> once i had same problem as yours, the thing was i used new kernel with old jfsutils
14:45 < Baldzius> partition was formated with jfs as you may guess
14:48 < sepp> :)
14:48 < rxr> sepp: XFS has been very instable for me
14:49 < sepp> i use it for 3 years
14:49 < sepp> or so
14:50 < rxr> I used for 3 weeks and had so many problems I stopped coutning
14:51 < rxr> but maybe it is just 2.6.15 and upwards that ae b0rked ...
14:51 < sepp> and the one time i used jfs it did very silly things with that partition
14:51 < rxr> I have not tested jfs extensively yet
14:52 < rxr> after xfs I got back to reiser3 which I'm happy since 5y or so ...
14:53 < sepp> i had reiserfs on / but i can throw that away now
14:53 < sepp> reiser3
14:55 < sepp> but i never removed the old 2.1 / partition from the other disc :)
14:55 < rxr> 1:0
14:55 < sepp> so i had still something to bot
14:55 < sepp> boot
14:55 < sepp> i heared the crowd in the bar screaming
14:56 < sepp> i wonder what it sounds like if they loose
14:57 < rxr> you will find out before the final ...
14:57 < rxr> ... I fear
14:57 < Baldzius> :)
14:58 < sepp> hehe
15:02 < rxr> 2:0
15:02 < sepp> let me guess 2
15:02 < sepp> hehehehe
15:03 < sepp> see, tv sets are useless
15:05 < rxr> yeah, Terratec T2 dvb-t usb dongle here anyway ...
15:05 < rxr> but susan is watching - /me finds hacking more interesting
15:07 < sepp> valley of the clueless has no dvbt ;)
15:19 < rxr> valentin: I hacked some cool kde service entries allowing lossless rotation of jpeg from within konqueror rightclick
15:19 < rxr> just two text .desktop files ,-)
15:19 < rxr> Exec-uting jpegtran ...
15:20 < rxr> kde rocks ...
18:04 < sepp> e17 stones
18:04 < rxr> literaly ß
18:04 < rxr> ? even
18:04 < sepp> no, quite nice
18:06 < sepp> too sad they they will not release final version in the next 5 years
18:06 < sepp> that they*
18:09 < valentin> this football noise is not bearable
18:09 < sepp> that last version in t2 is quite stable
18:09 < valentin> soccer even
18:09 < sepp> here it stopped :D
18:09 < valentin> you are so lucky
18:10 < sepp> ;)
