15:29 < rxr> ??? did not wanted to paste that, strange thing
15:29 < rxr> good it was a news-site, not p0rn :-)
15:46 < shevy> haha
15:47 < shevy> did you look at http://redmonk.com/sogrady/2012/02/08/language-rankings-2-2012/ yet? I found it quite interesting
15:56 < rxr> know simillar reports, which spot of that did you find interesting?
15:57 < rxr> don't know if anyone here noticed, I'm quite a fan of Lua in recent years, ...
15:57 < shevy> rxr mostly the languages on the top right corner (popular on github, and often asked on stackoverflow). but also languages like Rust ... barely on the radar "landscape" of such a data graph
15:58 < shevy> yeah for me I fell in love with Ruby. But the next languages that I want to learn, I'll pick among: Nimrod, Io, Python or Lua
15:59 < shevy> the lead dev on Nimrod is from Germany and on IRC a lot, so that's kinda fun
15:59 < rxr> don't know if anyone here noticed, I'm quite a fan of Lua in recent years, ...
15:59 < rxr> sorry wrong error enter in wrong window
15:59 < shevy> :)
15:59 < rxr> guess it's not my days ...
16:00 < rxr> yeah, no time to lear more languages, beside maybe Chinese
16:00 < rxr> Lua is great for various things
16:01 < shevy> the main developer of gobolinux, from brazil, hisham (Gobolinux sadly, more or less, died) is a big lua fan too. he wrote (or contributed to?) luarocks. http://luarocks.org/ https://github.com/hishamhm
16:01 < shevy> hehe
16:01 < rxr> that is when I have once too much time I'll probably do a Lua diallect with some auto-parallel processing properties
16:01 < shevy> learning Chinese could be fun
16:02 < rxr> you're from?
16:02 < shevy> austria!
16:02 < rxr> ah :-)
16:02 < rxr> local :-)
16:02 < shevy> I wanted to learn cantonese once... lateron a little bit of mandarin, but I gave up. I am too lazy to learn the chinese writing stuff
16:02 < rxr> I can speak some basics
16:02 < rxr> should learn more though
16:02 < rxr> too much stuff at work, unfortunately
16:03 < shevy> yeah I can understand that
16:04 < rxr> just got another natural language side project though
