17:36 < Baldzius> moin
17:42 < rxr> hi Baldzius
17:42 < rxr> cu later /me just about to leave the office
17:42 < rxr> cu
17:42 < Baldzius> see ya
18:25 < rxr> re
18:25 < rxr> how's life?
18:26 < digitaloktay> wb rxr
18:27 < CIA-26> aldas * r36051 /trunk/package/gnome2/epiphany/epiphany.desc: * updated epiphany (2.30.0 -> 2.30.2)
18:27 < Baldzius> life goes on :)
18:28 < Baldzius> enjoying spring
18:28 < Baldzius> last couple of days were just perfect, like in june
18:37 < rxr> nice
18:38 < Baldzius> yep, and everything is almost green already
18:39 < rxr> :-)
18:40 < rxr> btw. what do you think when we should finaly tag some next version / stable branch?
18:40 < Baldzius> don't really know
18:41 < Baldzius> I could take some responsibility tagging/releasing ver 8. but have no time atm
18:41 < Baldzius> but trunk is in pretty good shape I'd say
18:42 < Baldzius> only I had one strange issue
18:42 < Baldzius> with new install
18:42 < Baldzius> I couldn't get network up
18:42 < Baldzius> eth0 wasn't showing up all evening
18:42 < Baldzius> but it worked in the morning next day
18:42 < Baldzius> so this is little weird
18:43 < Baldzius> and because I lost lots of time dealing with it I had to install Ubuntu as I had no working OS
18:43 < Baldzius> so now I am bubuntu user :)
18:44 < Baldzius> there's only one annoying thing, I believe it happens only on 64 bits and have suspicious that taglib is invovlved
18:45 < Baldzius> bu tnot sure
18:45 < Baldzius> it surely affects g-wrap
18:46 < Baldzius> gst-plugins-good afair
18:46 < Baldzius> and some others
18:46 < Baldzius> maybe 5 or 6
18:46 < Baldzius> and there might be even more as I stoped at somewhere 200.000 stage
19:11 < rxr> oh sorry
19:11 < rxr> re
19:12 < rxr> good to hear in principle
19:12 < rxr> eth0 is wired ethernet
19:12 < rxr> ?
19:12 < rxr> maybe it was related to firmware loading
19:12 < rxr> I saw some g-wrap or so issue with FFI (foreign function interface) not found
19:12 < rxr> but I think as well that trunk is pretty fine in pricinple
19:16 < rxr> I guess I really tag it soon
19:17 < rxr> maybe fix one or another "major" issue, like FFI not found somewhere, and off we go
19:20 < Baldzius> not sure, I could see that eth0 node is there only I couldn't do anything about it
19:21 < Baldzius> maybe you could test latest trunk in run time
19:23 -!- mirabilos [tg@blau.mirbsd.org] has joined #t2
19:23 < mirabilos> hello everyone
19:23 < mirabilos> digitaloktay says you’re active now ☺
19:23 < digitaloktay> ^^
19:23 < mirabilos> I’m upstream for mksh (a shell) and would like someone who knows T2 well to package it for me
19:23 < mirabilos> I’d help, of course, if required
19:23 < mirabilos> but since I don’t use T2 myself (or even Linux)…
19:28 < Baldzius> hey mirabilos
19:28 < Baldzius> you want it to be available in our package list?
19:31 < mirabilos> I would like people to be able to get it as easily as possible
19:31 < mirabilos> as regular package, or whatever
19:31 < mirabilos> so, I think so, yes
19:33 < Baldzius> installation looks bit weird but I might try it packaging
19:34 < Baldzius> not sure if there's someone is eager to use it
19:35 < mirabilos> it'll probably start slowly then go up after a while
19:36 < mirabilos> it's rather easy, just pass "sh .../mksh/Build.sh -r" the variables (CC, CFLAGS, CPPFLAGS, LDFLAGS, LIBS) and TARGET_OS (probably hardcode to "Linux")
19:36 < mirabilos> it'll do compile-time and link-time checks only, no run-time checks, and then produce an mksh executable
19:37 < mirabilos> there may be a dependency on libssp if you use gcc4, that can be avoided by passing HAVE_CAN_FSTACKPROTECTORALL=0 in the environment too
19:37 < mirabilos> (otherwise it'll auto-detect if ProPolice SSP is available, and use it if so)
19:37 < mirabilos> to install, just copy mksh, mksh.1 and dot.mkshrc to the right places (/etc/skel/.mkshrc for the latter)
19:38 < mirabilos> testsuite is run natively, needs perl5 and its POSIX module, and is called by "test.sh -v" (and should be run with the mksh just built)
19:39 < mirabilos> if you have any questions, just ask
19:39 < Baldzius> heh :)
20:01 < Baldzius> compiles fine but doesn't install anything as it's custom make
20:01 < Baldzius> I need to do some work
20:01 < Baldzius> I will take a look at it next time
20:02 < Baldzius> so copying those 3 files or so
20:02 < Baldzius> lunch break :)
20:08 < mirabilos> ok, still thanks
20:08 < mirabilos> bon appetite
20:08 < mirabilos> .oO(20:08 here…)
20:08 < Baldzius> thanks
20:08 < Baldzius> evening shift :)

20:29 < Baldzius> who's the author?
20:32 < Baldzius> mirabilos : do you know who's the author ?
20:33 < mirabilos> of mksh? me
20:33 < mirabilos> ah
20:33 < mirabilos> oops
20:33 < Baldzius> don't you mind if i put your credentials?
20:33 < Baldzius> in Author section
20:33 < mirabilos> of course not
20:33 < Baldzius> please
20:33 < mirabilos> they're listed at end of the manpage too
20:33 < mirabilos> so…
20:33 < Baldzius> somehow man page doesn't get created :)
20:34 < mirabilos> manpage is part of source
20:34 < mirabilos> mksh/mksh.1
20:34 < Baldzius> what a heck , it's fine with one bin :)
20:34 < mirabilos> and place mksh/dot.mkshrc as /etc/skel/.mkshrc if possible, please
20:34 < mirabilos> or at least install it somewhere, usr/share/doc/mksh or so
20:34 < mirabilos> it contains things like a nice prompt, pushd/popd/dirs, …
20:34 < mirabilos> things a user would want
20:35 < Baldzius> argh
20:35 < Baldzius> have no time :/
20:35 < Baldzius> need to go back to work
20:35 < Baldzius> give me your name surname and email
20:35 < mirabilos> Thorsten Glaser
20:35 < Baldzius> I will submit it so someone might get id one
20:35 < Baldzius> super
20:35 < mirabilos> ok
20:37 < CIA-26> aldas * r36052 /trunk/package/shells/mksh/ (. mksh.cache mksh.conf mksh.desc): * added mksh (R39c) - MirBSD Korn Shell
20:37 < Baldzius> done :)
20:38 < mirabilos> thanks a lot
20:38 < Baldzius> you're very welcome :)
20:38 < Baldzius> back to batmobile (work) :)
20:38 < digitaloktay> \o/
20:39 < mirabilos> gl hf
20:40 < mirabilos> digitaloktay: Pardus package done yet? :þ
20:40 < Baldzius> gl & hf :)
20:40 < digitaloktay> habs gemeldet :D
20:42 < mirabilos> brav™
20:43 < mirabilos> Baldzius: http://svn.exactcode.de/t2/trunk/package/shells/mksh/mksh.conf <- put a "-r" behind Build.sh unless you want it to create a catmanpage during compilation (usually, the BSDs install catmanpages, the GNUs unformatted ones)
20:43 < Baldzius> are you guys both from Turkey?
20:44 < mirabilos> http://svn.exactcode.de/t2/trunk/package/shells/mksh/mksh.desc s/fre/free/
20:44 < mirabilos> no, germany
20:44 < Baldzius> mirabilos: ok will do
20:44 < digitaloktay> germany
20:44 < Baldzius> damn spells
20:46 < Baldzius> fixed both issues
20:46 < mirabilos> ok, thanks again
20:47 < mirabilos> (formatting the manpage when not used just eats build time, for example, on a 25 MHz MIPS machine running DEC OSF/1 V2.0 it more than doubles the build time)

20:55 < CIA-26> aldas * r36053 /trunk/package/shells/mksh/ (mksh.conf mksh.desc): * mksh: some improvements and fixes
20:55 < Baldzius> I hope that's all :)
20:55 < mirabilos> I think so
20:55 < mirabilos> or rather
20:55 < mirabilos> I don't see where you install the manpage
20:56 < mirabilos> or don't you do that?
20:56 < Baldzius> no man :/
20:56 < Baldzius> ech
20:56 < Baldzius> *sigh*
20:56 < mirabilos> sorry
20:56 < Baldzius> :)
20:57 < Baldzius> ok man is not a big problem
20:57 < mirabilos> if you're going to touch mksh.conf anyway: files in /etc/skel/ are usually 644 not 444 so that the user can change them
20:57 < Baldzius> maybe someone will create a patch :)
20:57 < mirabilos> (they're copied into a user's $HOME upon the latter's creation)
20:57 < mirabilos> hehe
21:04 < CIA-26> aldas * r36054 /trunk/package/shells/mksh/mksh.conf: * mksh : install man likewise
21:04 < Baldzius> :)
21:06 < Baldzius> http://www.t2-project.org/packages/mksh.html
21:06 < Baldzius> i hope it's fine now
21:07 < mirabilos> great
21:07 < mirabilos> thanks!
21:07 < mirabilos> and have a nice evening
21:07 < Baldzius> thanks, u2 :)
