18:19 < rxr> (or waits for some dust to settle while they already have proof of concept adaption in their CVS, SVN, git, etc.)

18:22 < mpp> fyi resolved the issue with sudo
18:22 < mpp> i had a problem where sudo had no permission to sudo :-)
18:22 < mpp> chmod 755 /
18:22 < mpp> was the solution

18:22 < mpp> my bad - i missed that part on my installer
18:23 < mpp> and ruby native extensions do not get build when emerged because rbconfig.rb has a static make path
18:24 < mpp> this does not work on the live host
18:24 < mpp> so problems solved ! :-)

18:31 < mpp> so patches will fly in frequently
18:31 < mpp> had a real bad merging going on for a year now

18:32 < mpp> so my git is up to speed  + my own patches stay alive unless really conflicting :-)
