08:22 < DieMumie1> hello
08:23 < DieMumie1> I try to build the neo fic 1979 target
08:23 < DieMumie1> and ran into an issue with gnome2/glib configure dies with:
08:23 < DieMumie1> checking for posix getgrgid_r... configure: error: cannot run test program while cross compiling
08:55 < rxr> re
08:55 < rxr> hm, that should be a new regression
08:56 < rxr> though, due to the sheer workload of T2 contributors of daily work, the fic/neo target is not end-user ready anyway
08:56 < rxr> you should only work on it if you are a developer

09:21 < DeeKey> Hello all
09:41 < rxr> hi
09:46 < DeeKey> hi rxr. I have a dependency problem. I am making cross compilation. And i need to compile program B after the program A. I have tried to do it with .cache, but no results.

12:42 < rxr> re
12:42 < DeeKey> hi
12:43 < rxr> hi DeeKey
12:43 < DeeKey> So how to solve problem with dependencies? Or dependencies work only above 1stage?
12:43 < DeeKey> > I have a dependency problem. I am making cross compilation. And i need to compile program B after the program A. I have tried to do it with .cache, but no results.
12:44 < rxr> right now the order in a stage is sorted with this static numeric Priority tag in the .desc
12:44 < rxr> we'll change that indeed in the future do base on the cached dependencies
12:45 < DeeKey> hmmm what is that number?
12:45 < rxr> just a priority, all packages in a stage are sorted by
12:46 < rxr> (this is a historic relict, from 1998 when Pentium 200MHz where not too comfortable to sort graphs with
12:47 < DeeKey> Could you give an example. How to compile package B after package A?
12:47 < DeeKey> [P] O -1-------9 101.000
12:47 < rxr> just edit package's B Priority to be higher than package A
12:48 < DeeKey> 101.000 <-- is it the right number?
12:48 < DeeKey> Just to clarify -- I am talking about cross compilation
12:48 < DeeKey> all packages will be compiled at stage 1
12:48 < rxr> yes
12:50 < DeeKey> A= [P] X -----5---9 102.060
12:50 < DeeKey> B = [P] O -1-------9 101.000
12:51 < DeeKey> so to compile A before B I need to change B to [P] O -1-------9 301.000
12:51 < DeeKey> ?
12:51 < rxr> how do you come to 301.000 ?
12:52 < rxr> a before B means
12:52 < rxr> less than 101.000
12:52 < rxr> e.g. 100.000
12:52 < DeeKey> That is for A :)
12:52 < DeeKey> but for B it must be greater
12:53 < DeeKey> Why the number is delimited with . ?
12:53 -!- dsoul_ [i=darksoul@vice.ii.uj.edu.pl] has joined #t2
12:54 < rxr> I did not "invent" that, think about it either as thousand delimiter or fixed points - as you like :_)
12:54 < rxr> though I think initially they where just 3 digit, IIRC the 2nd digits, and thus probably the delimitter where introduced 5 years ago or so ...
12:54 < rxr> to have more fine grained differentiation
12:55 < rxr> but the Priority number is on the TO Be Removed List ...
12:55 < DeeKey> thanks. Will try to recompile...
