09:30 -!- Baldzius [n=aldas@87.198.192.226] has joined #t2
09:30 < Baldzius> moin
09:38 < rxr> moin Baldzius
09:38 < rxr> gcc-4.3 will be a hell lot of work
09:39 < rxr> I hacked built a minimal64 with it last night and we might even need to change the bootstrap stages to include another one due to the new gmp mpfr dependency which in turn already require a working c++ compiler ...
09:39 < rxr> plus I still did not got the new gcc autoconf stuff to cross build the new compiler (canadian cross)
09:40 < rxr> so I heavily manually hacked and tweaked it until I got enough running to continue as native build
09:40 < rxr> so still some time until this can go into SVN
09:41 < rxr> and, btw. I applied T2 for GSOC (Google Summer Of Code) again
09:41 < Baldzius> moin rxr
09:41 < rxr> still pressing thumbs for acceptance this year
09:41 < rxr> but we already got the ok for the Linux Tag fair in Berlin as usual
10:19 < CIA-15> rene * r28388 /trunk/package/games/plib/ (gcc41.patch plib.desc): * updated plib (1.8.4 -> 1.8.5)
11:07 -!- hwinkel [n=hwinkel@125.33.172.185] has joined #t2
11:36 < CIA-15> rene * r28389 /trunk/package/network/iptables/complier.h.patch:
11:36 < CIA-15> * fixed iptables (1.4.0) to build with recent linux-headers,
11:36 < CIA-15> which do not provide linux/compiler.h
11:43 < rxr> Baldzius: sorry for the prev. iptables commit without that fix, I just happend to test the initial update on a system with older headers :-(
11:44 < Baldzius> :)
11:44 < CIA-15> rene * r28390 /trunk/package/archiver/lzma/gcc43.patch: * fixed lzma for gcc-4.3
11:52 < CIA-15> rene * r28391 /trunk/package/base/gpm/open_max.patch:
11:52 < CIA-15> * fixed gpm to build with recent linux-headers, which do no
11:52 < CIA-15> provide OPEN_MAX as static limit in linux/limits.h anymore
11:53 < rxr> just noticed that on trunk subversion fails due to newer neon :-()
11:54 < Baldzius> not only, i think it's because autoconf update also
11:54 < Baldzius> i've noticed they have fixes but only in trunk atm
11:57 < rxr> with a downdated neon it built for me
11:57 < Baldzius> oh
11:57 < Baldzius> 2.6?
11:58 < Baldzius> i mean 0.26
11:58 < rxr> the neon we have in 7.0
11:58 < rxr> 0.25.5
11:58 < Baldzius> 0.25 then
11:59 < Baldzius> oh well , we can revert then i guess
11:59 < Baldzius> not having subversion on trunk is not really nice thing
11:59 < Baldzius> especially when we depend on it a lot
11:59 < rxr> yeah
12:00 < rxr> though they are in the process of spinning a new major
12:00 < CIA-15> rene * r28392 /trunk/package/network/dhcp/dhcp.conf:
12:00 < CIA-15> * remove -Werror in dhcp builds, as the server code sometimes yields
12:00 < CIA-15> uninitialized warnings, especially currently with GCC-4.3
12:00 < rxr> maybe that release is compaitible with the new neon soonish ...
12:00 < Baldzius> 1.5?
12:00 < rxr> yep, saw some messages on the subversion list
12:01 < rxr> but did not followed closely, looked a bit flamewar and rantish
12:01 < rxr> (the svn thread)
12:01 < Baldzius> i thought it's not in the beta stage even
12:02 < rxr> I think I read RC
12:02 < rxr> let me check
12:04 < rxr> (IMAP mailbox still caching, long not read :-)
12:06 < CIA-15> rene * r28393 /trunk/package/develop/gdb/gdb.conf:
12:06 < CIA-15> * remove -Werror in gdb builds, likewise, new uninitialized
12:06 < CIA-15> warnings with GCC-4.3, likewise
12:07 < rxr> there are ready for RC1 discussions on the list
12:08 < rxr> though also build nightmare threads (though hopefully only win32 related :-)
12:09 < Baldzius> ic
12:09 < Baldzius> but i don't think it will compile with neon either
12:10 < Baldzius> those changes were made recently
12:10 < Baldzius> week or so ago
12:10 < Baldzius> maybe 2 now
12:11 < rxr> As promised, Subversion 1.5.0-beta1 is up for testing and signing. The magic revision is r29893.
12:11 < rxr> 03/13/2008 08:24 AM
12:12 < Baldzius> ql
12:12 < Baldzius> so it's beta anyway
12:13 < rxr> though they specifically note os vendors should not ship pre-releases ...
12:13 < rxr>

As stated above, this is not an official, end-user release
12:13 < rxr> of Subversion. It is a distribution intended for testing only. Please
12:13 < rxr> do not package this distribution in any way. It should not be
12:13 < rxr> made available to users who rely on their operating system distro's
12:13 < rxr> packages.

12:15 < rxr> I give it a try locally
12:17 < rxr> this deep neon binding of subversion really gets on my nerves
12:17 < rxr> everytime of a neon update we have to wait for ages just for a matching subversion flavour ...
12:18 < Baldzius> ack
12:30 < rxr> built
12:54 -!- hwinkel [n=hwinkel@125.33.172.185] has left #t2 []
13:46 < CIA-15> aldas * r28394 /trunk/package/base/util-linux/ (5 files):
13:46 < CIA-15> * updated util-linux (2.13-pre7 -> 2.13.1)
13:46 < CIA-15> * security update: CVE-2007-5191
13:49 < CIA-15> aldas * r28395 /trunk/package/security/loop-aes/ (2 files): * made loop-aes to be compatible with util-linux-2.13.1
15:47 < rxr> I have the feeling that since your dhcp-4.0.0 update on trunk at least dhclient is not working properly anymore :-(
15:47 < rxr> maybe I find time to review later
15:56 < Baldzius> rxr: oops sorry, forgot to mention
15:56 < Baldzius> actually it works but you have to start it manually
15:56 < Baldzius> oh and yeah, it can't find binaries which use relative paths
