15:51 < tri_> re
15:51 < tri_> if i try to build koffice trunk with t2 i get make: Makfile.cvs No such file or directory
15:53 < tri_> i don't have a idea how to solve this ? - i'm not in this cmake thing... anybody can help ?
15:53 < tri_> what is the debug.hooks file good for ?
15:53 < rxr> debug.hook probably is a dump of the hooks
15:54 < rxr> you can use debug.sh to get into the environment during the build
15:54 < rxr> IIRC trunk koffice built for me
15:55 < tri_> hm - do you have a *.conf file or only a desc file ?
15:56 < rxr> trunk has a .desc and .conf for koffice
15:56 < rxr> did you change it locally ?
15:56 < tri_> ah - i mean koffice trunk
15:56 < tri_> not t2 trun :-)
15:56 < rxr> doesn't koffice
15:56 < rxr> 's trunk require qt4 ?
15:56 < rxr> and probably is built with nmake or so
15:57 < tri_> hm do you have idea what the "make: Makfile.cvs: No such file or directory" in the error log mean
15:58 < rxr> that there is no Makefile.cvs ?
15:58 < tri_> :-)
15:58 < rxr> seriously, the T2 package as code to build koffice from their CVS, therefore it does try to run a Makefile.cvs if there is no configure script ...
15:58 < rxr> so you updated the T2 koffice package locally ?
15:58 < tri_> yes i created a new koffice package

16:00 < tri> re
16:01 < tri> koffice2 uses cmake
16:03 < tri> hm the development version of KOffice you need Qt 3.3.x, arts >= 1.3, and kdelibs >= 3.3.0.
16:06 < tri> ah ok koffice2 builds now :-)
16:12 < rxr> oh my god
16:13 < rxr> a new box here in the office is on a formerly unused static IP, and had 1465 SSH login tries for completely unknown users

16:26 < rxr> usual
16:26 < rxr> but normally I do not see that lot ...
16:27 < mqueiros_> rxr: There are some tools that can be used to black list the IPs...
16:27 < rxr> yeah - or port nock to open at all ..
16:27 < mqueiros_> yes...
16:31 < mqueiros_> Well... I'v checked now, and I had 1891 attempts on a server at the University, in 6 days... Not bad I suppose...

17:03 < DeeKey> hi
17:04 < sepp> hi DeeKey
17:04 < DeeKey> why is the kernel file compiled with T2 is called vmlinuz_UTS_RELEASE ?
17:05 < sepp> it should be called vmlinuz_$lxversion-dist
17:05 < DeeKey> i know ;)
17:05 < sepp> or something
17:05 < DeeKey> that is why I asked this question...
17:06 < sepp> :)
17:06 < sepp> some var points into the woods?
17:06 < DeeKey> I use my linux.cfg file.
17:07 < DeeKey> I compiled the standalone kernel with this config and this kernek works.
17:07 < DeeKey> But I cannot compile it with T2!
17:07 < sepp> why not?
17:07 < sepp> because of the UTS... ?
17:08 < DeeKey> I dont know yet. It could be!
17:08 < DeeKey> I marked, that previously I had two kernel versions one UTS... and the other is the right one.
17:18 < DeeKey> aaaa Sems that I know what is the root of the problem!
17:19 < DeeKey> I have included extraversion RTAI in the kernel config file
17:19 < DeeKey> But T2 does not like it! And rerun the configuration to use its own extraversion..

20:53 < DeeKey> rxr: I have a strane situation here.
20:53 < DeeKey> My linux kernel is loaded via NFS.
20:53 < DeeKey> I have created custom config file with the NFS support. I can compile it standalone (under my desctop system) and use created bzImage to boot from NFS.
20:54 < DeeKey> But it is not possible to reuse the resulted .config file with T2 (rtai target) The kernel loads, but does not start! I dont know what to do..
20:56 < DeeKey> And yet, I cannot just use the standalone kernel with the programs generated by T2. I think, that both kernel and programs must be compiled by T2 tools in order to work properly...

21:00 < kic_> because i keep seeing sh: modprobe not found while i'm booting
21:00 < kic_> but once i'm booted up completely, modprobe seems to work
21:00 < kic_> and i think its affecting my block2mtd stuff
21:08 < sepp> maybe it is not in $PATH
