11:08 < rxr> re
11:08 < rxr> moin R4gnar0k
11:14 < rxr> btw. I check out kvm last night
11:14 < rxr> (on my VT enabled MacBook C2D ....)
11:15 < rxr> I first was suprised that the Real-Mode BIOS stuff (grub) was way slower - you could watch the pixels refresh - the Protected Mode Linux kernel was way faster than without
11:15 < rxr> installed Fedora Core 6 withing 40 minutes or so ...
11:15 < rxr> without any acceleration in Qemu just getting to checking the pkg deps took 20 minutes
11:38 < CIA-21> rene * r22363 /trunk/package/develop/valgrind/valgrind.desc: * updated valgrind (3.2.2 -> 3.2.3)

12:33 < sepp> hello :)
12:35 < Stelz> rehi sepp
12:35 < Stelz> :P
12:35 < sepp> hi Stelz :)
12:35 < Stelz> http://slz.sytes.net/desktop.png <- lol, i have 7 different fonts in my interface :D
12:37 < sepp> i still prefer e17, even if they will never finish that :/
12:52 < sepp> http://83.129.188.7/ee.jpg :-)
12:54 < sepp> well, evidence is crap ...
12:56 < rxr> hi sepp
12:56 < rxr> sepp: is that quite recent e17 ?
12:56 < sepp> hi rxr :)
12:56 < rxr> have you patched evidence ?
12:56 < sepp> yes, 10-jan
12:57 < rxr> here it does not work because evidence CVS from the last months does not yet include the Evas gradient API changes and thus the evidence modules do nt load due to unrsolved symbols

12:57 < sepp> ahh, yes i made some new patch for the runtime loaded modules
12:58 < sepp> i guess i overlooked that last time since evidence is really bad
12:58 < rxr> cool, wanna commit ?
12:58 < rxr> that is really sad, some years ago (1-2?) evidence was even in the c't mention in good ACL/XATTR support ...
12:59 < rxr> I thought about adding it to the T-Resc due to not needing as many deps as the e.g. XFCE Thunar and co ...
12:59 < sepp> want to test if it still applies 1st?
12:59 < sepp> http://83.129.188.7/evas_api.patch
12:59 < sepp> i guess the author got mad about all the stupid api changes
13:00 < rxr> oh - we have such a patch in evidence already
13:00 < rxr> ah - but yours is bigger
13:00 < rxr> yes, I got mad too
13:00 < sepp> yes, i missed the runtime loaded plugins
13:00 < sepp> the 1st time i think
13:00 < rxr> the next time I have too much time I'll port my C++ Evas abstraction to Agg ...
13:00 < rxr> Agg == Anti Grain Geometry
13:01 < rxr> http://www.t2-project.org/packages/agg.html
13:02 < sepp> i think i will not update e17 again, i don't like it to destroy the config files every time you do that
13:02 < sepp> i mean to the late jan cvs snapshot ...
13:03 < sepp> just 2 weeks, i guess even the e17 team has not invented something fundamental new :)
13:09 < rxr> appears to still apply
13:09 < rxr> sepp: *lol* :-)
13:12 < sepp> *** NAUGHTY PROGRAMMER!!!
13:12 < sepp> *** SPANK SPANK SPANK!!!
13:12 < sepp> *** Now go fix your code. Tut tut tut!
13:12 < sepp> ^- evidence
13:12 < sepp> lol
13:13 < CIA-21> rene * r22365 /trunk/package/e17/evidence/evidence.conf: * removed debug "hook_add ... abort" from evidence.conf that slipped in during the last e17 update
13:13 < rxr> sepp: do you commit the evidence evas patch update ?
13:15 < sepp> not atm, i was running out of space and removed the big t2 folder with downloads and all that for now
13:16 < sepp> have to burn some dvds :/
13:16 < sepp> or buy a 3rd hdd
13:16 < sepp> if it works please commit it :)
13:17 < rxr> well - it does not "work" perfectly
13:17 < rxr> but it starts ...
13:17 < rxr> guess the rest are the usual evidence graphic bugs ...
13:18 < sepp> my discs are black holes for data
13:19 < sepp> and finally the last xfs partition died, it worked fine on x86 for some reason on amd64 it is just broken
13:20 < sepp> bad fs!
13:21 < rxr> I tested XFS only once, and it oopsed so often in that 2h test that I never touched it again
13:21 < rxr> right now my /home on the Laptop is JFS just for the test
13:21 < rxr> no problem so far, just that Reiser3 was faster :-(
13:24 < sepp> evidence does not work with the default theme, dont know why
13:24 < sepp> if you give "-T efm" or some other theme it works (kind of)
13:26 < rxr> I guess after escreen I have to write my own file manager :.-)(
13:27 < sepp> i keep the small mc :)
13:27 < sepp> the not gnome one
13:30 < rxr> :-)
13:30 < rxr> mc-mp or so
14:02 < Stelz> 14:52'38 | sepp> http://83.129.188.7/ee.jpg :-)
14:02 < Stelz> hehe sepp
14:03 < Stelz> u use geany too :P
14:05 < sepp> well, it has tabs and is not too bad
14:07 < Stelz> it r0xxx totally for me
14:07 < Stelz> :)
14:12 < sepp> could be worse ...
14:12 < rxr> heh
14:12 < rxr> finished 1st path, quick 'N dirty XPM loader:
14:12 < rxr> $ ./objdir/edisplay/edisplay -i t2.xpm
14:12 < rxr> Can not open file -i
14:12 < rxr> Could not read the file -i
14:12 < rxr> Loaded: 't2.xpm', 640x480 @ 0x0 dpi - spp: 3, bps: 8
14:13 < rxr> err, ok -i of course ...
14:13 < Stelz> uh
14:13 < Stelz> inkscape 0.45.0 final out
14:13 < rxr> cool
14:14 < rxr> Stelz: do you update ?
14:15 < Stelz> ah rxr.. u forgot?.. i'm on openbsd.. still waiting for your minix template to port openbsd-kernel into T2..
14:15 < Stelz> so any scripts don't work on my openbsd box :/
14:16 < Stelz> but i update t2-trunk every day
14:16 < rxr> :-)
14:18 < sepp> why openbsd?
14:19 < Stelz> cause i love it :)
14:20 < sepp> ok
14:20 < Stelz> and it was an rxr's idea to port its kernel to T2
14:20 < Stelz> and i hope, i'll port it :)
14:21 < Stelz> when rxr will make some template for minix or so
14:21 < Stelz> sepp: didn't u use bsd?
14:22 < sepp> no
14:22 < Stelz> never tried?
14:22 < Stelz> :)
14:22 < sepp> i don't care that much which kernel i am running
14:22 < sepp> as long as it works ...
14:23 < Stelz> yeah :)
14:24 < Stelz> but it will be really good if T2 will support openbsd and minix (especially) kernels
14:24 < Stelz> microkernels ftw :)
14:24 < CIA-21> susan * r22367 /trunk/package/gnome2/gnome-power-manager/ (. gnome-power-manager.cache gnome-power-manager.desc): * added gnome-power-manager (2.16.3) - Is for managing the power environment of your laptop
14:25 < Stelz> hehe.. any gamers here? sepp?

14:26 < sepp> no
14:26 < Stelz> :)
14:26 * Stelz <- part of The Battle For Wesnoth
14:29 < sepp> fantasy civilisation?
14:29 * Stelz dunno
14:29 < Stelz> i don't like civs
14:29 < Stelz> www.wesnoth.org
14:29 < Stelz> turn-based strategy
14:30 < Stelz> with fantasy theme
14:30 < Stelz> like heroes of might & magic or so
14:32 < sepp> i don't know heroes of m&m
14:33 < sepp> but it looks like civi but not that ugly
14:35 < Stelz> :>
14:42 < CIA-21> rene * r22368 /trunk/package/graphic/inkscape/inkscape.desc: * updated inkscape (0.45pre2 -> 0.45)
14:48 < rxr> man - XPM is really really ugly
14:49 < rxr> not too nice to write a primitive half-assed C parser just to load those pixels ...
14:50 < rxr> also quite horrible from the security point of few when you have such a "complex" cunstruct
