11:43 < karasz> hello veki ;)
11:43 < mnemoc> hi karasz, veki

11:44 < mnemoc> buenos dias veki
11:45 < mnemoc> karasz: what did you try to say? :)
11:45 < veki> gracias mnemoc
11:45 < karasz> nothing, just that you are here...
11:45 < karasz> yesterday i had two questions for you...
11:45 < mnemoc> karasz: you forgot the verb :)
11:45 < mnemoc> uhm
11:45 < mnemoc> shoot
11:45 < karasz> unfortunately i am still sleeping so i cannot remember them right now
11:45 < mnemoc> :p
11:45 < karasz> maybe after i drink my coffe.
11:46 < karasz> anyway one was related to the multipath that we were talking recently..
11:46 < karasz> i find some really hands on docu at http://www.ssi.bg/~ja/nano.txt
11:47 < veki> a good friend fo mine says that coffee is for him boot floppy, so karasz boot yourself :-)
11:47 < mnemoc> karasz: nano is arcane
11:47 < karasz> as in?
11:47 < karasz> arcane.... i don't quite get the term...
11:47 < mnemoc> ancient, very very old aproach
11:48 < karasz> maybe that is why I understood most of it ?!?
11:48 < veki> like archaic in a way
11:49 < karasz> i see, it talks about the brand new 2.4.15pre5 :-)
11:50 < mnemoc> probablyx i missed the 'h' :)
11:50 < karasz> anyway, it requires patches... :(
11:54 < karasz> so mnemoc i should look further? drop the whole nano stuff?
11:58 < karasz> :(
11:58 < veki> karasz: that is life ;-)
11:58 < karasz> lartc.org still points to Julian's patches...
12:01 < mnemoc> karasz: ask to lartc ml
12:01 < karasz> i just wonder why thoose patches didn't make it in the kernel......
12:02 < karasz> i mean, being a gateway is not that unusual for a *nix box...
12:02 < mnemoc> karasz: most probably the kernle handle that without any help currently
12:02 < karasz> dunno, there are patches for 2.6.15 ...
12:02 < karasz> 2.6.16 sorry.
12:03 < mnemoc> just setting two or more default routers with different weights
12:03 < mnemoc> well, in that case package them and build a patched kernel :)
12:03 < karasz> :) i remembered the second question....
12:03 < karasz> mnemoc: query?
12:03 < morfoh> karasz: congrats tavarish :)
12:04 < karasz> not me, the coffee ;)
12:04 < morfoh> karasz: but you don't expect that the coffee will ask for you ... right ?
12:05 < morfoh> :)
12:05 < mnemoc> karasz: but quick because i have to go soon
12:05 < karasz> morfoh: i didn't drunk the whole cup, so... what was that again?
12:06 < morfoh> karasz: then hurry up :)
12:08 < karasz> nah, hurry with coffee is a sin.
12:08 < karasz> today i am christian ;)
12:10 < morfoh> karasz: what do you mean ^ :)
12:10 < morfoh> karasz: hopefully you're not misusing my name :p
12:19 < karasz> morfoh: nah, i do not fiddle with copyrighted stuff....
12:19 < karasz> it is illegal...., isn't it?
12:24 < mnemoc> bbl, cu :)

15:58 < trb7> hi
16:30 -!- You're now known as rxr
16:30 < rxr> hi trb7
16:31 < rxr> guess the time to start a amd64 xpdf build ,-))
16:31 < rxr> but I have some other code to do now as well and something else tomorrow ... but I'll try to reproduce the issues on-the-way nearby
17:16 < _Ragnar_> moin
17:30 < trb7> hi rxr, ragnar
17:31 < _Ragnar_> hi hi
17:32 < trb7> problem with xpdf is lesstif, and refuses to accept a --libdir passed by the user (lib64 in x86-64), and if you bypass it, there are lots of linking problems that i wasn't able to solve
17:32 < trb7> so xpdf builds fine, but it just doesn't builds the actual xpdf binary
17:32 < trb7> an ugly way to fix it is to make it link with the lesstif libs in lib/
17:32 < trb7> but that's not a clean way, it should link with lib/ in x86-32, and lib64/ in x86-64 systems
17:33 < trb7> well, i'll be around, going to try a couple of things
18:06 < CIA-7> sebastian * r17173 /trunk/package/security/loop-aes/loop-aes.desc: * updated loop-aes (3.1c -> 3.1d)

19:10 < CIA-7> rene * r17174 /trunk/package/x11/lesstif/libdir.patch: * fixed lesstif to honor --libdir
19:11 < rxr> works for me, now
19:12 < trb7> :)
19:12 < trb7> going to try it
19:12 < trb7> fighting with aqsis ...
19:12 < trb7> casting char* + void* to int looses precision....
19:20 < rxr> you might like to grep the gcc patches of other packages I think I fixes such stuff for other packages already
19:25 < trb7> going to do a svn up

22:21 < karasz> wb veki
22:22 < veki> hi
22:22 < veki> how are you
22:24 < karasz> pretty good, thank you, and you?
22:25 < veki> oh well, thanks, working a lot, preparing for one conference ...
22:27 < karasz> same here, but without conference ;)
22:30 < veki> it is about copyright and free software implementation in underdeveloped areas
22:31 < veki> as you may guess I will wriet about necessity that free software should be used and that restrictive sopyrights should not be imposed on use of free softwasr eimplementation in various jurisdictions
22:39 < karasz> hm...
22:40 < karasz> why does that seem to me like a David and Goliath revisted?
22:40 < veki> as you knwo governments ar ecourruptable creatures
22:40 < karasz> shhhttt!
22:40 < karasz> somebody is eyedropping ...
22:41 < veki> and they try to neglect free software and be bribed by vendors that supply propriteray software. Thus, my idea is to say that Internet repositories should be treated as eqaully important as others if not more,
22:41 < karasz> and I don't know that..., i just heared it, it may be a rumour....
22:41 < veki> sinc ethey are valuable technologica resources and their technical and social merits is more important than govwernemnt's bribe
22:41 < veki> what you heard
22:42 < karasz> veki, i have a sad news for you, they can do pretty much all that they want to :(
22:42 < veki> yes, but we exist and we are stronger and stronger
22:42 < karasz> and governments' bribe is more important than anything else, there is nothing you can do about that.
22:42 < veki> maybe we can
22:43 < karasz> sorry if I sound negativist, but that is how I see it, although I wish you luck...
22:43 < veki> yes, I understand you
22:44 < karasz> I lost too many licitations to solutions that were worst, just because I didn't paied the right amount...
22:45 < veki> yes, I know, but we should not surrender
22:45 < karasz> i didn't. I just moved to the private sphera, where things are a little clearer, not much clearer, but a little.
22:46 < veki> yes, I know
22:47 < karasz> now, i just smile when i read in the papers that this and that agency just signed a XXX million dollar contract with Oracle :D
22:47 < veki> yes
22:47 < karasz> because I know that they don't even have a solution for it, they just bought a DB engine and have no clue what to do with it :D)
22:48 < karasz> the sad part is that part of thoose XXX million $ came out from my pocket :(
22:48 < veki> yes, the most frequently, or they do, but users suffer a lot and being constantly conditioned and locked
22:48 < karasz> and btw, i still have to slalom between the wholes in the road to get to work...
22:49 < veki> yes, I understand
22:50 < veki> me too
22:50 < karasz> hmm, did we hijacked the chan?
22:50 < karasz> I guess that it is ok since nobody looks ;)
22:50 < veki> yes ;-)
22:51 < karasz> except thoose agencies ....
22:51 < veki> I do not care about them, it is good to know for them that they are not so strong as they think
22:51 < karasz> i am kiddin'
22:52 < karasz> don't worry veki they do not care about us.
22:52 < veki> you are right
22:53 < karasz> as long as the game is rolling nicely and the flock is taking the right turns nobody cares about some sheeps that decided to wear their fur in punk style.
22:53 < veki> :-)
22:55 < karasz> after 12 years in business, i had it with europe, i guess that it is time to move to greener and warmer pastures.
22:57 < veki> :-)
