19:33 < CIA-8> jsaw * r4470 /trunk/package/multimedia/avifile/ (avifile.conf head-n1-usage.patch xvid4-needs-libm.patch): (log message trimmed)
19:33 < CIA-8> * fix avifile build
19:33 < CIA-8> - head -1 usage (though one remains I can't find)
19:33 < CIA-8> - xvid4 needs -lm (that caused a headache)
19:33 < CIA-8> - use LD_LIBRARY_PATH so player gets build
19:33 < CIA-8> That's actually a workaround. There's no reason it has to be
19:33 < CIA-8> used, 'cause libavifile.so correctly sets -rpath...

21:34 < mtr> hi t2'ers
21:37 < mtr> i need some advice about glibc build errors in stage 1
21:38 < mtr> glibc cannot find libgcc_s which is not build by stage-0-gcc
21:40 < mtr> there is patch gcc_eh.patch.cross which is probably not correct
21:41 < mtr> if i change the "static-gnulib := -lgcc $(libgcc_eh)" to "static-gnulib := -lgcc" it works and glibc compiles in stage 1
21:42 < mtr> but - i have no idea if this any impact on other packages
21:44 < mtr> ehhm, somebody @home?
21:46 < jsaw> hi mtr
21:46 < jsaw> trying to find this info somewhere in my brain...

21:55 < jsaw> mtr: ups
21:55 < mtr> jsaw: probably this has something to do with the latest binutils changes regarding --as-needed
21:56 < mtr> found something on the net: http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-bugs/2004-04/msg01420.html
21:56 < jsaw> I don't know, but iirc removing ligcc_eh from stage-0 should be fine.
21:56 < jsaw> wait, reading
21:58 < daja77> iirc this is done in stage 1

22:06 < mtr> in r3883: rediffed and readded the glibc gcc_eh fix
22:31 < jsaw> mtr: could you please send your question to the t2 mailing list, I have to go now and might forget otherwise
